Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Because leather is a natural material, slight color and batch variations are normal. Factors like hide age, season, and dye absorption can all affect the final shade, making each piece uniquely yours.

Almost Perfect items can feature more prominent character marks than our Premium line, and/or small stitching variations, showcasing the aesthetic variety of our natural hides and handmade designs.
Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!
What if I don't love my Almost Perfect bag?
Everything from our Almost Perfect collection (excluding Mystery Box bundles) falls under our usual return policy. For more detailed information, visit our Returns page.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Loving my envelope crossbody
by: Annette C.
I love starting the spring season with my new envelope crossbody! It’s perfect ~~ room for my phone, slots for my cards, and a zipper on the outside for cash. I love the softness of the nutmeg and the leather smell is always a plus!
Great little clutch
by: Liana K.
I purchased the AP Convertible Crossbody Envelope in Bone and Black. The Bone shows maybe one or two little black dots on it that wouldn’t be noticed under normal use. I don’t see any imperfections with the Black. I wanted something that could hold the essentials like my phone, small wallet or cash and cards, and chapstick when I go out to holiday events. I went with the Bone and Black as classic neutral colors that could go with any outfit. The Envelope definitely delivers, holding my phone, cards, cash, chapstick, and hand lotion with room to spare. Can’t wait to take her out for holidays! Photos show Bone and Black in indoor lighting as well as cloudy outdoor lighting.

Beautiful Berry Good! So cute for a Grab and Go, even fits my phone! Perfect. Disregard the railing in the background... sanding for new paint!
Honey - Great grab and go
by: Keepmeprivate
This is a great crossbody for quick errands, and slips easily into a tote. Though I'm not partial to contrast stitching, the Natural strap by PLG makes all the difference in the world!
Plg 👏👏👏
by: Dara M.
I love plg, every bag I’ve gotten has been so amazing and felt so high quality. I’m in love with this brand!

Envelope Convertible Crossbody

I love it! The envelope is perfectly small and exactly what I was looking for. I'm petite and at 5' short I needed something that would lay close to my side and not get in the way. The adjustable strap is a huge bonus, I wear it as a crossbody and can wear it over my shoulder, an even bigger plus, it can be used as a wristlet!
The BEST
by: AJP
I’m obsessed with my black envelope. It’s perfect. I love the quality. It’s going to last a very long time. If you like convenience and do not need a bulky purse, this is a wonderful option.
My favorite accessory
by: Lindsey
I have two envelopes- one in honey to use as my everyday wallet slash clutch or crossbody when I want to, and one in deep water that is my festival fanny pack to use when selling my jewelry as a vendor. This is my favorite accessory by far.
I LOVE this bag! (Nutmeg Envelope Crossbody)
by: Patricia B.
This bag is not only beautiful but one of the more functional bags I own. It has enough room for the essentials and is comfortable to wear. I highly recommend it!
Looove!
by: Mari
The envelope crossbody is the perfect bag for running some errands or a quick shopping trip! But I love that the smooth black can be dressed up for a nice date night as well! I just think it’s the cutest bag, I love it!
So functional
by: Angela W.
I love this so much and need one in every color. I use it as a wallet with no straps, a wristlet with the smaller strap, or as a crossbody with the long strap. Don’t hesitate to buy one! PS, nutmeg is delicious and squishy!
Great wallet/bag for work!
by: Stephanie M.
This crossbody is perfect for me to take to work. I use a gigantic laptop that I use a backpack with padded straps for but wanted a more professional looking wallet/purse for taking to lunch and using after work. I can throw it in my backpack with the essentials or attach the wrist strap and/or crossbody strap for meetings and lunch. I got it in honey AP and love it. I love that both straps are detachable.
