Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Almost Perfect items can feature more prominent character marks than our Premium line, and/or small stitching variations, showcasing the aesthetic variety of our natural hides and handmade designs.
Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

Got nutmeg and was going to use for coins but they will just fall out. Can put altoid tin in it and close it up. Interesting design but unsure if I can recommend people to get as portland leather has better pouches available.

I love how they came wrapped and labeled with the color. I got AP the second they dropped. They are so versatile. I use mine for jewelry that I end up taking off during the day. Some people use them for change, or lip gloss. I gave one to my mom and giving one to my sister in law as part of her Christmas gift. I’m excited to see how they end up using theirs.
