What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

From the moment I started opening my box, and a rich leather scent enveloped me, I knew this was going to be high quality. What a gorgeous tote! I purchased the honey/dark brown medium sized tote and it is superb! From the beautiful rich color, the contrasting handles, dedicated craftsmanship, to the quality leather, everything about this tote screams classic and chic. The medium size tote is perfect in size, roomy but still a purse without going into the travel bag size. I also purchased the eclipse style makeup bag in honey and love pairing the two bags together for style and organization. Stop buying flimsy little totes, make this purchase, and you’ll never buy another tote again - well, you’ll likely buy another from Portland Leather but that’s only because you LOVE it so much!

I wasn’t sure what to expect but boy was I surprised. I needed something for my crocheting. It’s perfect! I’m in love with this classic purse! I purchased the medium which is a perfect size for everyday use. My almost perfect did have a few scuff marks on the back, which seems different than most people’s reviews saying that they couldn’t see any marks or imperfections on their bags. I love it, but wanted to mention that I do see marks on mine. Not enough to return, and figured more scuffs will happen naturally. My toddler really likes it too!

I received my medium classic leather tote in Lava and it is amazing! The color is absolutely stunning. I’m so glad I was able to scoop it up. The leather feels so luxurious, it has a mix of smooth and pebbled. The inside is spacious. There is plenty of room for my computer, iPad, wallet, cardigan, kids snacks, and way more! I love that there is both an outside and inside pocket, and the loop on the inside for keys is genius. I highly recommend this bag!

I'm a little sad that the small tote is retiring, because I found her to be such a great size. In the picture, that bag has a change of clothes, a phone charger, a taco (which has hand sanitizer, chapstick, and mints), a small bag with toiletries, a paperback book, my wallet, keys, and my phone would fit inside too! And if you're not afraid of bright colors, don't sleep on astro blue. I kept thinking about that color and I'm so glad I decided to get her. It'll brighten your day!

The 'Almost Perfect Leather Tote Bag" is completely perfect. Got the small size and it still carries my MacBook Pro, IPad and all the miscellaneous items I need to carry around. Both in a professional capacity or on the town with friends, this bag is all I need. And it looks good! But, best of all, it is not heavy. It really doesn't add much weight to my already overburdened load. Light and sturdy, just what I need!

I said I would add more Oversized Totes to my collection and I am true to my word. The most recent addition is a Westward Blue zippered OS tote. The color is beautiful! Small tote in honey love the smooth leather and the perfect size for all my accessories

I love this tote. I got it in the pebbled black and it is beautiful. It’s the perfect size for me when I want a daily tote that isn’t too big but carries all of my essentials. I have a 4 year old and a 5 year old and can fit a small water bottle, wipes, mini first aid kit, and toilet seat cover when we are out and about. The leather feels sturdy and smells like leather. The straps fit over my shoulder and feel sturdy. The edges of the straps do feel a bit sharp but I am sure they will soften over time.

I love the size and shape of this tote! It holds everything I need without feeling bulky, and the outside pocket is perfect for the things I want to grab quickly. The leather is beautiful, and I love how the contrasting handles give it a little extra personality. Definitely a bag I can load up and use every day.
