My littleSunshine Rue is adorable! I got it on a whim because I wanted this color and am surprised by how much I love this little bag. I love how easy it is to access everything, it is so cute and I’ve already received compliments. I may take it to someone to get another hole punched as others have noted, the straps are long. But having the option to convert to cross body is great. I’ve already ordered another color!

This backpack is so cute and I really love it. It fits quite a bit (I have packed it with the wonder pouch, small seashell pouch, wide mouth pouch, sunglasses case, phone, and a few juice boxes), and the strap length has actually been pretty great despite some reviewers mentioning they're a little too long (I'm 5'2 for reference), but that may be a bit subjective depending on how people like to wear this. Knocking off one star for a few small things: one of the zippers gets caught when it rounds the corner - unsure if mine is faulty or if it's maybe just the shape of the bag, but the other zipper is buttery smooth. Another thing is, if the bag is too heavy or low, it can dig in on bare skin since the straps are thin. None of these are deal-breakers to me, but still worth mentioning. I wouldn't hesitate on this purchase regardless though - it's definitely worth it!

Sunshine Rue! ☀️

First of all, I love the design of this bag. It fits a TON in a slim profile, and the zipper placement means I’m not digging for stuff in the bottom like I do in my bucket-style bags. The zippers are smooth and the back pocket fits my iPhone 16 no problem. As everyone has said, the backpack does sit pretty low due to the long straps. I’m 5’5” with a long torso, so it doesn’t bother me. I’m mainly planning on wearing it as a sling, but I may experiment with thicker straps or putting additional holes into these straps to shorten it a smidge for when I want 2 straps. The texture of the sunshine leather isn’t my favorite, as it doesn’t have much character, but the yellow is lovely. The bumps are the color of my patina-ed sunflowers, and in between is like my fresh sunflower utility. Overall, I am very happy with this style, and I’d be jazzed if they were offered in a larger size as well as in some smooth leathers.

My UV Rue is so gorgeous - and fits ALL my stuff for a day trip, or just a snazzy carry. My first metallic and she is a stunner. I love the back zipper pocket too - perfect phone spot.

The rue is a great bag only downfall is that even for someone plus sized 22/24 the straps are way too long. I usually dislike anything yellow but sunshine kept drawing me to her. She is beautiful and so soft and squishy.

My contents sit deep even with the bag fully unzipped

I was thinking the double zip would potentially allow my daily carry contents to tumble out, but they sit so deep in the bag, they’re secure! I carried Rue as a crossbody at a local Scan Fair this weekend and it was nice to have the extra space to carry my purchases. My next step is to flip the Sam Browne strap ends to the top of the backpack then add an additional hole in the straps, so I can adjust it to ride higher on my back.

Nutmeg is classic to have in any style. Great neutral. This bag is great for the new mom or mom of toddlers. Toss in your littlest, wipes and a diaper and go! I love it!
Ultra Violet Rue Backpack is the latest addition to my UV collection.
I haven't carried a backpack in many, many years. What sold me on the Rue is the "convertible" strap with hooks and loops to change up how I want to carry it. The Rose flair looks stunning with the UV color and really pops!
